MemberVault Pricing in 2026: $29 a Month, and Old Courses Still Count

by Welly Mulia - October 11, 2026

MemberVault prices its plans by products and communities: $29 a month for 5 products and 1 community, $49 for 15 and 3, or $109 for unlimited of both. Every plan includes unlimited members, and yearly billing costs $290, $490 or $1,090. No plan takes a cut of your sales.

New accounts have had no free plan since December 17, 2025. MemberVault pricing now starts with a 7-day trial, no card needed, or up to 14 days if you finish the onboarding steps. Lifetime plans cost $297 once for 1 product or $2,750 paid in full for unlimited. Stripe or PayPal still take their own fee on every sale.

You’re probably sizing up MemberVault because you have a handful of offers and don’t want a big monthly platform bill.

An old course you keep open for past buyers still takes a slot, and so does each freebie you don’t bundle.

The trial runs 7 days or 30, depending on which sign-up page you land on. And MemberVault’s own Terms list Unlimited Lifetime at $3,500 paid in full, $750 more than its checkout.

I priced every plan from MemberVault’s own pages and lined it up against Teachable, Podia, Thinkific, Kajabi and MemberPress, so you can see which plan you need and when lifetime pays off.

Key Takeaways

  • Plans are priced by product slots. $29, $49 or $109 a month buys 5, 15 or unlimited products, with unlimited members and no cut.
  • Archived and invisible products still use a slot. Inactive frees one, and so does deleting, but both cut off people who already paid.
  • Bundle your freebies. MemberVault’s help center shows how to put several lead magnets inside 1 free product, so they share a slot.
  • The free plan closed on December 17, 2025. The standard sign-up now gives a 7-day trial, up to 14, and a separate MemberVault page offers 30.
  • Yearly billing costs 10 months’ price. It saves $58, $98 or $218, and MemberVault refunds no subscription charges.
  • Unlimited Lifetime is $2,750 paid in full at checkout. That’s under 3 years of yearly Unlimited ($3,270), though MemberVault’s Terms list $3,500.

MemberVault pricing: the 3 plans and what each one caps

MemberVault sells 3 subscription plans, named for how many products they hold: 5 Product at $29 a month, 15 Product at $49 and Unlimited at $109. They’re listed on MemberVault’s pricing page, under the headline “All features. Every plan. No gotchas.”

Plan cost is half the math. The other half is what you charge your own members, and the Online Selling Mistakes Challenge covers the pricing mistakes solo creators make, free over 5 days by email.

On all 3 plans, yearly billing costs exactly 10 months of the monthly price, which saves $58, $98 or $218 a year.

PlanMonthlyYearlyProductsCommunitiesExtras
5 Product$29$29051None
15 Product$49$490153None
Unlimited$109$1,090UnlimitedUnlimitedPriority support, quarterly check-ins, visibility opportunities

Members, pages and posts are unlimited on every plan, and the core features are the same on all 3. MemberVault’s help center lists sales pages with Stripe and PayPal checkout, coupons, payment plans, drip schedules, quizzes, a blog, affiliate tracking and a custom domain. You can also remove the “Powered by MemberVault” footer on the $29 plan.

The Unlimited plan adds support on top of the unlimited slots. Your chat and email questions go to the top of the queue. Erin Kelly, MemberVault’s CEO and co-founder, emails you once a quarter to check in, and MemberVault may feature your work in its emails and social posts.

“All features” has 1 footnote, and it sits in the Terms. Action Labs cost extra on the 5 Product plan, and Action Labs and Sprints cost extra on the 15 Product plan. The Terms give no price, and the pricing page doesn’t mention either one.

What counts as a MemberVault product, freebies and old courses included

A MemberVault product is any offer people opt into or buy, free or paid: a course, a membership, a VIP day, a 1:1 client portal, a download, a challenge, a summit or a free opt-in. MemberVault’s own help center gives this as 1 way to fill the 5 Product plan: “2 courses, 1 membership, 1 digital download, 1 lead magnet”. So a free PDF opt-in takes a slot just like a paid course. If you run several freebies, the help center shows a fix: build 1 “Free Resource Hub” product and add each lead magnet to it as a module, so they all share 1 slot.

The second catch is in section 3 of MemberVault’s Terms and Conditions, which counts products whatever their status. The 5 Product plan is “limited to 5 available products (active, archived, or invisible)”, and the 15 Product plan uses the same wording.

Section 3 of MemberVault's Terms and Conditions, listing the 5 Product plan as limited to 5 available products, active, archived, or invisible
MemberVault’s Terms, section 3. Read the brackets after “5 available products”: archived and invisible products count toward the cap.

Of MemberVault’s 4 product statuses, only Inactive frees a slot, and it’s also the only one that locks out people who already paid.

StatusUses a slotPast buyers keep accessNew sign-ups
ActiveYesYesYes, listed on your site
InvisibleYesYesYes, through the direct link
ArchivedYesYesNo
InactiveNoNoNo

The access rules come from MemberVault’s help article on product statuses: an Inactive product means “any members who previously had access would no longer be able to access the product.” The pricing page’s FAQ says to turn a product inactive or delete it “to free up a slot”. A deleted product is gone for everyone too. Either way, freeing a slot means cutting off the people who paid for that product.

Say you retire a course but promised buyers lifetime access. Archive it and it keeps a slot forever, or set it Inactive and those buyers lose what they paid for. Downgrading runs into the same wall. To drop from 15 Product to 5 Product, MemberVault’s help center says you first move your extra products to Inactive, and only then does the downgrade option appear.

Communities have their own cap of 1, 3 or unlimited. Want 2 communities? You need the 15 Product plan, even with only 5 products.

So before you pick a plan, count everything: paid offers, your freebie hub, challenges, client portals and every retired product you still owe someone access to. Then check your communities separately. Pick your product plan from that total. Your count of live courses is usually lower.

If downloads are what fill your slots, a separate checkout can take them off MemberVault’s count, at the cost of a second place for buyers to find their files. Gumroad charges 10% + $0.50 per sale, Payhip takes 5% on its free plan, and CartMango, the checkout I run, takes no cut and is free right now, from $10 a year once paid plans start in November.

Is there a MemberVault free plan or free trial?

MemberVault has no free plan for new accounts. Its Terms say the free plan “was permanently retired for new sign-ups on Wednesday, December 17, 2025”, and every new account now starts on a 7-day free trial with no credit card.

You can stretch the trial by up to 7 more days by finishing the onboarding steps inside your account. A separate sign-up page, membervault.co/free-extended, offers 30 days. The “Start For Free” buttons on the pricing page go to the standard sign-up instead, which doesn’t state a length. That’s why reviews disagree. Game of Conversions’ review quotes a 30-day trial, which matches the extended page.

The retired free plan only ran from October 2025 to December 17, 2025, according to MemberVault’s help center. Anyone who signed up in that window keeps it, with 1 active product and up to 25 members. Reviews from earlier years describe older free plans with other caps, like the 100-member free plan Game of Conversions describes, so ignore any free-plan number a review gives you.

When the trial ends, your account moves to what MemberVault calls the Admin Read-Only plan. Your products stop showing on your site, your members lose access, no one new can join, and you can still view and export your data. After 90 days on read-only, MemberVault may delete the account permanently.

MemberVault isn’t alone in this. Thinkific made the same switch in 2024, and the Thinkific free plan post covers what its trial turned into.

Monthly or yearly billing?

Yearly MemberVault billing costs 10 months of the monthly price, so it only saves money if you stay past month 10.

MemberVault doesn’t refund subscription charges. Its help center is blunt: “MemberVault does not offer refunds for subscription charges, regardless of whether a subscription is canceled mid-cycle.” Cancel in month 2 of a yearly plan and your account keeps working to the end of the billing year, but you’ve paid for all 12 months and get nothing back.

The pricing FAQ says you can upgrade, downgrade or switch plans anytime. So a sensible order is monthly while you build and test, then yearly once your offer sells and you know your plan size.

MemberVault lifetime plans: what Stress Free and Unlimited Lifetime cost

MemberVault sells 2 lifetime plans through its own store at mvlearn.co: Stress Free at $297 for 1 product and 1 community, and Unlimited Lifetime at $2,750 paid in full or 12 payments of $291.67.

Unlimited Lifetime costs $2,750 paid in full, less than 3 years of the yearly Unlimited plan ($3,270), while the 12-payment route totals $3,500.

Lifetime planPaid in fullPayment planProductsRefunds, per its sales page
Stress Free$2973 payments of $991, plus 1 community7-day money-back guarantee
Unlimited Lifetime$2,75012 payments of $291.67UnlimitedAll sales final

The Unlimited Lifetime checkout on MemberVault’s own store, with its 2 payment options: $2,750 paid in full (“save $750”), or $291.67 a month for 12 months, which totals $3,500.

MemberVault’s Terms list higher prices on both routes. Section 5 says Unlimited Lifetime costs $3,500 paid in full, $750 above the checkout’s $2,750, or 12 payments of $312.50, which totals $3,750 against the checkout’s $3,500. The checkout is what you actually pay, so screenshot it before you buy to keep the number on record.

When Unlimited Lifetime pays for itself. Against the yearly Unlimited plan, 2 years cost $2,180 and 3 years cost $3,270, so lifetime comes out ahead partway through year 3. Against the monthly plan at $109, it pays off in month 26. If you would only ever need 5 products, compare it with the 5 Product plan instead: $2,750 buys more than 9 years of that plan at $290 a year.

Stress Free is a different deal. $297 is about 1 year of the 5 Product plan, for 1 product instead of 5. Its sales page includes a $297 credit toward a larger plan later, and it suits someone with exactly 1 offer who wants no monthly bill.

4 fine-print points apply to the lifetime plans:

  • “Lifetime” means the life of the platform. The Terms define it as “the lifetime availability of the MemberVault platform as operated by MemberVault LLC, not the lifetime of the purchaser.”
  • A payment plan isn’t lifetime yet. The Terms say accounts on a payment plan “are not considered lifetime accounts until the full balance has been paid”, and a failed payment can get the account suspended or downgraded.
  • Future paid features may cost extra. The Unlimited Lifetime FAQ says usage-based additions, like AI tools or built-in video hosting, would include “a base level of access” with more usage billed separately.
  • Refund promises conflict. The Terms say MemberVault has “a no refund policy”, while the Stress Free sales page promises a 7-day money-back guarantee. If that guarantee matters to you, get it confirmed by email at [email protected] before you pay.

A lifetime plan also only saves money if you use it. A MemberVault owner wrote in an r/annotators comment that they bought lifetime access to an unlimited plan “a couple of years ago” during a sale, “just in case”, and that “the platform is just sitting there collecting dust.”

Still comparing platforms? This rundown of course platform fees lines up 6 of them.

What MemberVault pricing leaves out

MemberVault charges no transaction fee on any plan, but your payment processor does, and a few jobs MemberVault skips cost money elsewhere.

  • Card processing. Stripe’s standard rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per domestic card payment. On a $29 monthly membership that’s $1.14, so you keep $27.86. PayPal also charges a percentage plus a fixed fee per payment.
  • Video hosting. MemberVault’s help center says you can upload videos, but its servers “aren’t optimized for video streaming”, and it suggests Vimeo, YouTube or Wistia instead. YouTube costs nothing. The other 2 can be another bill.
  • Email marketing. MemberVault controls which emails go out “thru your email tool”, per its help center, so your email platform is a separate subscription.
  • Action Labs and Sprints. MemberVault’s Terms list these as paid extras on the 5 and 15 Product plans, with no price given.

How MemberVault pricing compares with Teachable, Podia, Thinkific and Kajabi

On yearly billing, MemberVault’s 5 Product plan has the lowest entry price of the hosted course platforms here, at $290 a year. It also takes no cut, where Teachable Starter takes 7.5% and Podia Mover 5%.

At 10 courses, Thinkific Basic ($475) is the cheapest hosted option here, just under MemberVault’s 15 Product plan ($490).

CartMangoAbout $0.83 a month ($10 a year), free right nowNone10 products, downloads and subscriptionsNot yet, planned for October 2026

CartMango, which I run, bills one-time sales and subscriptions with no cut, but it doesn’t host a course or a members area yet. Course hosting and a community are planned for October 2026, on CartMango’s $30 a year plan.

Teachable also caps Starter at 5 products, but it counts published ones only, so MemberVault’s 5 can fill up faster.

Podia gives you 10 times the product slots of MemberVault’s 5 Product plan for $214 a year more, then takes 5% of every sale on that plan. Past roughly $4,280 a year in sales, Podia’s 5% alone costs more than that $214 gap. The full plan list is in the Podia pricing breakdown.

Kajabi’s 5 products on Basic come with email, a website and 2,500 contacts, which is what the extra $1,426 a year buys over MemberVault’s 5 Product plan. The Kajabi pricing post covers every tier. For Teachable’s 4 plans and the condition on its 0% fee, see the Teachable pricing post.

Is MemberVault worth the price?

MemberVault pricing is good value when you have a few big offers and a lot of people. At 500 members, the $290 5 Product plan works out to 58 cents a member for the year, and no plan takes a cut as you sell more.

It gets expensive per offer when many small things fill your slots. Say you have 3 mini-courses, 2 retired programs, a freebie hub and a membership. That’s 7 slots, which means the 15 Product plan at $490 a year.

FAQ

What is MemberVault used for?

MemberVault hosts courses, memberships, 1:1 client portals, challenges, summits and free opt-ins in one place, with its own checkout pages on Stripe or PayPal. It also has communities, a blog and public pages, and MemberVault says many of its users run it as their whole website. It has engagement tracking and rewards, like giving a member a bonus product based on what they do.

Can I cancel MemberVault anytime?

Yes. You cancel from Account Plans inside your admin dashboard, or by emailing [email protected]. Your plan keeps working until the end of the billing cycle, with no refund for the unused part. Then the account drops to read-only, your members lose access, and after 90 days it may be deleted.

I couldn’t find anything in MemberVault’s help center about what happens to your members’ recurring payments at that point. Sort those out before your plan ends.

Is there a MemberVault discount code?

MemberVault’s pricing page lists no public coupon. At least 1 affiliate review advertises a code for 50% off the first year of an annual plan, so test any code during your trial before you rely on it. Existing legacy-plan customers get 30% off the current plans, per the Terms, and Stress Free includes a $297 credit toward a bigger plan.

What is the annual fee for MemberPress?

MemberPress costs $399, $699 or $999 a year for its Launch, Growth or Scale plans, and the first year is half price at $199.50, $349.50 or $499.50. Every renewal after that is at full price. Launch also takes 4.9% of every payment. The MemberPress pricing post covers the rest, including what 1 license covers.

Does MemberVault charge transaction fees?

No. MemberVault’s pricing FAQ says it charges no transaction fees on any plan. You only pay your payment processor, which for Stripe is 2.9% + 30¢ per domestic card payment.

Not every offer needs a product slot

MemberVault pricing makes the most sense for courses and memberships with a members area. A download someone buys once, or a paid newsletter you deliver by email, only needs a checkout to take the money and hand over the file or the access.

If those offers were using slots, moving them to CartMango frees those slots and can keep your MemberVault pricing at the smallest plan your courses need. CartMango takes no per-sale cut on any plan, and if you sell that newsletter as a subscription, it keeps paying you even if you leave CartMango.
